Evidence-based outpatient treatment for anxiety — licensed therapists, psychiatric support, and a program built around your life.
Anxiety is one of the most common mental health conditions we treat, and one of the most misunderstood. It isn't just "worrying too much" — it's a persistent, often physical experience that can affect sleep, concentration, relationships, and the ability to function day to day. For many people, anxiety builds quietly for years before it becomes impossible to ignore.
The Barbell Saves Outpatient Center provides medically supervised, evidence-based outpatient treatment for anxiety in Phoenix, AZ. You don't need a co-occurring substance use disorder to be treated here — we work with clients managing anxiety on its own, as well as those managing anxiety alongside substance use, which is common since many people use alcohol or drugs to self-manage anxiety symptoms.
Treatment starts with a full clinical assessment to understand your specific symptoms, history, and what's driving them. From there, your plan may include individual counseling using CBT, DBT, or somatic approaches; group therapy; psychiatric evaluation and medication management when appropriate; and movement-based stress reduction — yoga and physical activity are built into our model because the body and the nervous system are part of anxiety treatment, not separate from it.
If anxiety is occurring alongside substance use, we treat both together through our Adult IOP rather than addressing one and ignoring the other — separating them tends to produce worse outcomes for both.
