Trauma-informed outpatient treatment — licensed therapists, somatic approaches, and psychiatric support built around your life.
Trauma changes how the body and mind respond to the world, often long after the event itself is over. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and unresolved trauma can show up as hypervigilance, flashbacks, emotional numbness, or a nervous system that stays stuck in "on" — and it's common for people to develop substance use as a way of managing it.
The Barbell Saves Outpatient Center provides trauma-informed outpatient treatment in Phoenix, AZ. You don't need a co-occurring substance use disorder to be treated here — we treat trauma and PTSD on their own, as well as alongside substance use, which we address together rather than separately.
Trauma-informed care means we treat you as someone whose reactions make sense given what you've been through — not as a set of symptoms to manage. Treatment starts with a full clinical assessment, and your plan may include individual counseling with trauma-informed and somatic approaches, group therapy, psychiatric care when appropriate, and movement-based work — trauma lives in the body as much as the mind, and our program treats both together.
If trauma is occurring alongside substance use, we treat both together through our Adult IOP. Processing trauma while substance use is unaddressed — or vice versa — rarely leads to lasting healing.
